I watch as you fall apart in front of me I watch as your legs fail to work As you muscles no longer remember You’re slowly deteriorating I see your smile fade away In your eyes your heart is shattered I see you slowly fall apart I watch as you die before my eyes I hear your muffled laugh I hear the door slam shut as the nurse shows up The door locked to keep us out I know it’s near now The car goes silent as I hear a phone ring A change of route towards the store My mom is panicked; my sister crying I know now it was because you were done dying Death had come to your door He greeted you into have tea with him I still remember the day I knew it was close but didn’t want you to go The casket that held your body pale The light now gone; you laugh heard no more The bagpipes muffling the sound of tears I hear amazing grace as they bury you in the ground We say our goodbyes as we watch you go The last time we hear your muffled laugh The smile you held as you passed I say I love you but it’s too late You’re already gone
